Coolin Irish Pub welcomes you to Paris for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Here's our guide to eating, drinking and late bars, all a stones throw from each other, in the heart of Paris' famous St. Germain Latin Quarter.

We've included Irish and French pubs, fine eateries (you'll need to pre book these) and the best of the rest. And, once the pubs close, the eternal question of 'where now?' will be asked. Well, we've also included clubs and all-night bars all within stumbling distance of the Coolin. So no taxis, no getting lost and no ending up miles from the rest of your entourage!

See, told you it was easy.

And for those of you who don't know already, Coolin is the best situated Irish pub to both Stade de France and Parc de Prince having direct trains to both and it's on a direct line from the airport!!

Pre-Match
Our Irish staff have been serving the tastiest pub grub in Paris for 12 years, from mouth watering Bacon/Cheese burgers to real Irish Breakfasts. And before you ask, of course we serve the Black Stuff!! So get down before the games to soak up the unique world cup atmosphere and have a few well deserved pre-kickoff pints.

Coolin World Cup "Lost Paddy in Paris" Helpline
For all of you who don't do the smart thing and print out copies of the maps, we've organised a help line, Yes your very own Lost Paddy in Paris help line. Just give us a call on 0033 6 21 44 22 82 and we'll try to help you out or just give you some local info.

Sports Viewing
We believe we have the best sports bar in town. Why? Because we are huge sports fans ourselves! Our HD 2 meter Big Screen and 5 106cm flat screen TV's means you won't miss any of the action ... As George Hook would say "ooh la la".

Après Match
The Coolin will be recording all the matches for those fans who were lucky enough to be at the Stadium. So, as soon as the action has finished, get back to the pub on the double to catch the whole match again on the Big Screen - You might even spot yourself!! When that's finished, you can dance the night away with our Live DJ's till 4am .

Getting around Paris is easier than getting around Dublin but like any city take the wrong street and it could take you hours to find your way back. So why not take the easy route and use our fool’s guide to St Germain, the very heart of Paris. St Germain is part of Paris’ famous Left Bank Latin Quarter. St Germain, at the very centre of Paris, is only a short taxi ride from any hotel. It is also easily accessed by most of the city's public transport.

From the Coolin Irish Pub it is only a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, the Luxembourg Gardens, The Louvre, Musee D’Orsay and The Seine. St Germain also has the highest concentration of night life anywhere is Paris. We’ve pick out a few as a guide but the area is literally littered with bars and restaurants. Enjoy!

Paris doesn't stop. From its all night cafes to its warehouse sized nightclubs there is always somewhere buzzing in Paris and St Germain is no exception.

You'll find everything from the trendy Conran night club, Wagg, to the Old Navy's eccentric collection of night owls.

Like any city; there's the good; the bad and the ugly. We understand bad can be good but we'll try to steer you clear of the ugly.

If you click the map to the left you will see a list of pubs we recommend in Paris. The first six pubs are all international with the last 5 being of the French nature.

There are tons more pubs, bars and cafes, so just ask any of the bar staff in Coolin and they'll set you right.

There are many thousands of pages written on the restaurants of Paris so we won’t add to it. What we’ve included is a mixed bag of French and International restaurants, all good, some excellent and all within a short distance from the Coolin or easier still eat in the Coolin.

Full menus will be in operation on Friday and Sunday in Coolin. A special rugby weekend Brunch will also be served from 10am both Saturday and Sunday - a Full Irish breakfast and a pint for only €10 up to midday, you can’t do better than that.

Bon Appetite!
